Throughout the past 20 years I have worked as a self-employed contractor specializing in painting and restoration. As a small business owner I have run commercial and residential crews, restored historic cottages, houses, and finished custom new construction homes. Today I focus on the owner operated aspect of my projects in order to make sure the job is done correctly and up to my standards of quality and detail. I enjoy the restoration aspect of my work, continue to work on exteriors and often focus on presenting home and property-owners with a professional interior paint job that fits their budget.
Increasingly, I have been specializing in the restoring and finishing of
doors and decks. Plus, I have had the opportunity to finish many
interior woodwork projects including window restoration, woodwork stripping and finishing, and occasional furniture restoration.
Originally from Michigan, I began learning the painting trade after attending the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and continued painting after a move to California in 1995, while living in Salinas. After spending a few years back near my hometown in West Michigan, I returned to California in 2005 and settled here in the Bay Area. Over the years various projects have brought me around the country from NYC to Chicago to Kauai. In my time in the Bay Area, I have worked with many clients, many of whom I continue to work for to this day. This has kept me busy doing the quality work I take pride in and such work has been my best sales agent.
